This was a really good comic book. I wish that’s all it was, but it isn’t. Jonathan Hickman – a…

May 20, 2011 3:36 pm @miltman  There's more info here:

http://www.comicsalliance.com/2011/05/11/are-marvels-2-99-comics-shortening-to-20-pages-of-story/

So it may not be a conscious policy. But, it's also been pointed out that many of these comics are shipping more often.

So, hypothetically:

12 issues a year, 22 pages an issue, $3 an issue = 264 pages for $36

13 issues a year, 20 pages an issue, $3 an issue = 260 pages for $39

May 19, 2011 5:01 pm This only had 20 story pages (as did Herc #3). I don't have any problem with Marvel reducing the page count on their $2.99 books, I just wish they were more up front about it.

April 14, 2011 2:12 pm I agree with @JNewcomb: unless you're a big, big fan of the main series, it's dispensible.

(But I am, and so don't miss my five bucks in the slightest.)
April 7, 2011 11:33 pm Can't believe iFanboy's not nominated. Truly, I can't.
March 31, 2011 10:49 pm These were my very favorite toys. Still got a couple dozen in a box in my folks' basement. Not sure if the show will hold up now, but I'm looking forward to finding out!
March 11, 2011 3:04 pm @mrlogical  Brubaker himself is writing:

"I went to Tom and asked him how much longer the Nomad back-up thing was running, because I had an idea that since we were doing 30 pages an issue, why don't I just have the backup story and the main story intertwining where scenes in them will reflect off each other?"

March 10, 2011 11:17 am I liked this, for the most part. I felt like the writer didn't quit capture Venkman's voice until about halfway through, but after that, it really clicked. And all the Ghostbuster-teknobabble about how to deal with the zombies and poltergeists was quite well done. 4/5 for me.
March 2, 2011 6:44 pm Picked it up and enjoyed it, though there were times I didn't quite know what was going on. First real contact I've had with G.I. Joe since the old cartoon went off the air. 4/5.

@Noto  Thanks for that, especially since I wasn't even aware of the existence of the CBDB!
February 28, 2011 2:55 pm I'm kind of on the fence with this one. I really liked the Star Trek tie-ins, but thought the rest of the Infestation stuff was just ok. Anyone know anything about the writer?
