August 3, 2012 9:16 am I've been enjoying this series a lot. Easily in my top 5 favorite new 52 books (for those curious about my tastes, the others would be Batman, Animal Man, Swamp Thing, and Frankenstein). The reveal at the end of this issue though was a little Deus Ex Machina for my tastes. Just seemed really far out of left field. I'll have to go back and re-read the series though, just to see if that initial impression holds up or if, after a re-read, it actually makes a lot more sense. That alone is actually a great sign... if you can reveal something to me that I completely didn't expect, that makes me go back over and experience the whole thing again to see how it might have been building to it but I just missed the hints, then that's really something special. I just need to read it all over again to see if that's the case, or if it truly was just out of nowhere.
