March 11, 2013 2:43 pm My local shop is thriving as well. And what's even more interesting is it's strictly a comic-shop, no gaming or anything like that. Talking to the owner it sounds like there's no one big reason for it, just that more people are getting into comics. And from my personal observation, his great customer service and friendliness keeps people coming back.
