Man, this is some repugnant shit right here.
I mean, forgetting all the baggage that the writer brings into this, this is just some poor story telling.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Storm is under mind control, probably Shadow King since she has some history with him, but maybe some new villain CC wants to make into a bad ass by completely throwing anything close to the status quo into utter upheaval.
Regardless, it is a trite plot device.
I almost don't want it to be true, because I'd love to see how there is some sort of justification for Storm killing her friends.
I do love that Kitty and everyone said they've never seen her this brutal before, even though this is supposed to be a continuation of the same Storm that stabbed Calisto in the heart.
Of course this was the same issue where Charles called Logan an old friend and treated Scott like 15 yr old that needed direction.
This issue was the first issue where I really thought about how ridiculous the costumes back then really were. I mean really what's up with the hard parts connnected by cloth. Look at Jean's costume. It's like they're wearing football padding over rubber suits.
I like Grummet's art a lot more than I was expecting, especially Victor's smoking eye sockets at the start of the issue, but there is only so much he can work with.
and I want to say that I would give this a 0 for story if I could

Story: 1 - Poor
Art: 2 - Average

And man, since when is Scott so protective of Sabretooth? And did he really call Logan his son? WHAT?
I sort of liked Jean and Logan making out in her brain, just for the ridiculousness of it. And I enjoy Grummett’s art, but that’s about it.
Wow, I couldn’t disagree with you more.
