Walter Simonson's art is hard to get behind. Some panels are gods some are awful. I think there's some things he's just not good at drawing. Iceman is drawn lazily, but Red Hulk fighting Colossus (pre-phoenixed) looks fine. People wearing masks look fine: Captain America, Wolverine, Black Panther. But the other characters, mainly women don't look so good. Brian Michael Bendis writes a good story about Red Hulk handling the jobs the Avengers can't really do and wondering, like the rest of us, why he's even an Avenger. I liked his inner monologue throughout the story. He'stki g about how he's a decorated war hero and outranks Captain America, but the Avengers don't care about that and to them he's like a pit bull. That was interesting to read, be abuse some of us have probably thought about that. This story isn't full Red Hulk punching X-Men. General Ross Hulks down to assassinate Cyclops and even dons a ninja outfit and what was funnier than that was you could see his moustache through his mask. That is some thick facial hair. When will we see Red Hulk with that thing? There are a bunch of panels in this book which, again, depending on how you feel about Simonson's art can be good or bad. All in all this was a decent AVX tie-in.
