A story that started out well.  Started out subtle.  Flushed out with moments that remind us why even amongst a planet full of Kryptonians, Superman is Superman, despite what he says.  Then, it all goes to pot within three panels.  Anyway, Superman shows up on New Krypton, and "seemingly" renounces Earth in order to work on the "Kryptonian problem" from the inside, and no doubt also to keep an eye on Zod.  Notably, the general populace of Earth is clueless about this, with the exception of those close to Superman.  Given a chance to join "any" guild, Superman starts to sow the seeds of revolution in his conversation with a member of the Labor guild, showing him about his powers, pumping him up by deducing that they're related, referencing America's Civil War... all good, and all fairly subtle psychologically.  Superman shows up at the Military guild to confront Zod, displays his powers as being far beyond that, at least for now, of the average Kryptonian.  Given the subtely of the book up until now, we think maybe they'll slowly place Superman into the military guild.  Eventually.  But then Superman shows up to see Alura, she does a 180 in personality from earlier in the book, and BAM... Superman's Military guild.  ...Ok.  Well, at least the art looked good, but talk about a ham-handed ending.  There's something to be said for pacing.
