I’m calling Shenanigans on this mini series. The only reason I was getting this comic series was because of Tony Harris’ Art. And here we are at the final issue of this lets say it weak retelling of the Spider-man origin and WHERE IS TONY HARRIS? On the last iFanboy pick of the week podcast Josh asked how Tony harris could do another mini series, obviously it was because he didn’t do this issue. Even the cover isn’t original, its a photoshoped amalgamation of panels throughout this series. WHAT HAPPENED? Now onto the issue, well if there was a main point of the Spider-man origin (other than an adolescent boy receiving the proportionate powers and abilities of a spider) it the lesson of “With Great Power comes Great Responsibilty”. How does Peter learn this? From the death of Uncle Ben. If that is such a major part of the origin, then it should be mentioned in this story.

Story: 2 - Average
Art: 3 - Good

  1. If this cover was ideed collaged together from existing artwork, nice call out.

  2. Wow. I was getting this for the Tony Harris art, too. I liked his work on Starman. I liked the story. I didn’t think it was earth-shattering or a must read. Kind of nostalgic.
