I started off his series with issue one then promptly dropped it before issue two. To be honest it just seemed like spider man with a dark side to him. Now 7 issues later I decided to risk another 3 bucks and try it out again, this time however, it was better than before and entertaining in a down on his luck spidery kind of way but with a sense of a completely different style of spidey who makes stupid mistakes by sleeping with one of the girls he rescued to not being tech savvy (not even web search savvy.) enough to be able to investigate an explosion. It's fun to see our hero Kaine take more of the role of super powered average "joe" and throw him in typical hero situations without typical hero results. Yost has caught me in his Scarlett web for this arc and Pham's art tells the story well with some great awkward situations expressed in the face of Kaine. Here's to hoping it keeps on being this fun. Im sticking to this one (no pun intended.)
Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 4 - Very Good
Art: 4 - Very Good
Go back and get the issues you missed or buy a trade ‘cuz it’s just as good if not better with the Stegman art.
