I was very tempted to drop JLI just because it hasn’t offered anything interesting yet and the cliffhanger at the end of last issue had me rolling my eyes. Having said that I decided to pick this up on a whim and I am glad I did because Dan Jurgens has, just like the solicit implies, spun this team in a bold new direction. I was shocked at how quickly we got to the meat and potatoes of the bombing attack. I did not think that this book would go the route it did, and for surprising me and turning the general comic book status quot upside down for a month, if not longer, it gets to stay on my pull list. It doesn’t hurt that the ending left me very satisfied. Well played Dan Jurgens, well played.
My one complaint is that I would have liked to see a whole lot more of someone before they kicked the bucket this issue.
