Well, you can’t say that Loeb doesn’t have his
favorites when it comes to writing. I know I’m probably the only person
with a full original run of X-Force that’s proud of it, but I remember
Loeb’s writing of Domino and Warpath very fondly and seeing him having
fun with them again makes the little nerd in me so happy. Yes, the
conflict between these two characters is incredibly contrived, but if
you’ve been reading over a year of his Hulk, you let stuff like this
slide off your back. I think my biggest problem was that the entire
issue was setting the cover, which didn’t even happen. It was a good
enough story, but I personally hate when the ending is spoiled by the
cover. The art was good, but I’m missing McG.
