Despair… That was the name of the story and I could not agree more, I’m sad
to say that this issue lacked emotion, it lacked the chemistry, the spark that
shows only when the bat and the cat share the stage. It was nice to see that
they were attempting to incorporate all the other things Selina Kyle does in her
“spare time” or lack there of. But in all honesty this book felt forced, a story
of despair was promised and all that we get is almost the complete opposite. As
a standalone story, it’s bearable and a good way to pass the time, as a set up
for the “grand” finale? It’s best to hope that next months issue hits it out of
the park.
