I continue to be impressed by this title month after month. Batgirl manages to avoid the gratuitous sexualization of women that gives comic books a bad name in the mainstream media and instead delivers great stories with a strong female protagonist. This is the only comic book my girlfriend will read for these very reasons. Barbara’s inner monologues feel authentic and actually help this well crafted story stand out from the herd. I can’t say enough about the art, either. I was really looking forward to the start of this new arc and the Batgirl team did not disappoint.
