Well it seems to be the week of books that have taken more than a year or two to come out. With: ALL STAR BATMAN AND ROBIN THE BOY WONDER #5 and ULTIMATES 2 #13
I know some people aren’t buying these on principal but I really don’t get that? If you enjoy the book that’s all that matters. I have so many other books that I enjoy monthly it?s kind of fun to have these books like a yearly special, I know the argument for this is most people don’t remember the story up to this point and I understand that. I have quite a good memory when it comes to remembering comic book stories from years back so it doesn’t matter much for myself I could see the difficulty for other people.
Either way I’m really looking forward to these books 🙂
As for the bonus question I’m listening to the latest Kaiser Chiefs album that I downloaded off itunes, it’s pretty good!

This might well be the last week for Moon Knight. I want to like it, but I just don’t. I was surprised to see ASBAR shipping. I stopped reading it after #2. It was laughably bad. I’m right there with you I really liked the first arc and now the Civil War stuff is gone it’s really starting to pick up.
I’ve heard people say they don’t like it but I haven’t heard any reasons why they don’t like it. It’s been pretty decent other than the Civil War stuff what exactly is wrong with it?
It’s not Donner/Johns. It was announced a while back that that storyline is being moved over to Annuals.
It’s really a crime that only one of DC’s big properties is being handled ewll (Action Comics- crappy one-shots and b-stories, Superman- crazy Busiek, Wonder Woman- very mixed feelings, JLA- doesn’t make any sense.) Batman and Detective are amazing (when their regular teams are on, and now that 52 is done, Morrison is back on schedule while Dini shouldn’t have too much of a problem since he’s basicaly a story editor for Countdown)
DC puts out great comics (Manhunter, Checkmate, Teen Titans, Robin, Green Lantern, JSA, Countdown and The Spirit) , but just not under the banner of the JLA, Superman or Wonder Woman,
Glad to know I’m not alone with the Moon Knight love. Hell, I didn’t even mind the CW stuff (though it was a little annoying that it couldn’t be out at the same time as CW).
I recall people saying “nothing’s happening!” with regards to the first arc, but that’s it. Personally, I just think folks missed the point.
I suppose I shouldn’t be too rabid, though. I do seem to be one of the few people out there that doesn’t think Checkmate is particularly interesting or good. (Which is sad, ’cause I really liked the old Checkmate…)
