WARLORD #11
Travis Morgan, this was your life! McBane’s documentary causes Travis to reflect on a life spent in the practice of war… but the resurrected Dark Lord waits at the end of memory lane, and he’s launching an all-out attack on Shamballah! Did somebody just say “fire-breathing dragons”? All we hear is blood-curdling screams.

Wish more people were reading this title. The art is great. Especially when Grell is drawing also. I waited for years for this title to resume under Grell and would hate to see if get canceled so soon.
My store didn’t have any copies. I read last issue and liked it, was going to start picking it up, but they had no copies for anyone to buy. I signed up to get it today, but I don’t understand how they’re going to sell any if it’s out of stock a day after it comes out. I know it’s a guessing game for retailers, but could a few less copies of Siege and a few more Warlords hurt that much? I’m looking forward to picking up the TPB of the first six issues in March or whenever it’s coming out.
I love this book. Reminds me of when I was a kid reading Warlord. Warlords first appearance in First Issue Special was my golden monkey. When we travled as a family I’d look through phone books in every where for comic shops and beg my parents to take me. Ah the days of back issue buying….’sigh’.
This is a wonderful nostalgia book, but it may not have much of an audience outside of the older readers. I’m just happy to have had this chance to see Grell doing a new Warlord story and if it goes away again I’ll be okay with that too now. And this wasn’t as good as Seige #2 for me, and I won’t fault retailers for ordering what they can sell.
