  1. I’m gonna pile up Parts 1 & 2 of TOE until DD #11 comes out.

And then sit down and read it all in one sitting.

    • Technically, not sure two comics equate to a pile, but I know what you mean. With that much reading, you should be done with this ‘mini-event’ in, oh, say…20 minutes?

    • 3 comic books in 20 minutes. you not only look like the flash, but you read and observe the art just as fast.
it takes me about 15-20 minutes to get through one. i pay close attention to the art and it’s detail, but damn.

    • That wasn’t my plan but I’ve been away from home the last week and by the time I return it’ll be 3 days until the DD 11 story releases so I’m excited to read them all together 🙂

  2. Looking forward to the second part of the crossover. It’s a mini event, and these are 3 of Marvel’s strongest titles.

  3. i think the punisher has something up his sleeve. there’s no way he’ll not kill as many villains as possible. he’s gonna be very sneaky about it, but it’s gonna happen.
i see one pissed off spidey in the future.

  4. This crossover feels like an arc of the 90’s animated Spider-Man show. And I mean that in the best way possible.

  5. This is one of the times I am hoping Marvel’s crossover ploy to get more readers on a title really works. This has been an excellent series in need of a little more attention

  6. Awesome book. Spideys hilarious, the story progresses very nicely, but I can’t say I didn’t see the ending coming. I may want to read more of this Punisher now. Interested to see how they wrap it up, but I have a feeling I know already anyway.

  7. I plum forgot about Avenging Spider-Man last week…luckily a lone copy remained at my LCS…that was a damn fine beginning…the worst kept secret identity since Hannah Montana…friggin awesome

  8. This was just plain fun, 5/5 and POTW for me. If they go trade as opposed to hardcover I might grab vol. 1 and jump on.

  9. Definitely been thinking about getting Rucka’s Punisher in trade since it started.

If this issue/arc is good, it could sell me on the series for sure.

  10. I hope there’s a panel of the week for the shot of Frank and Rachel loading their guns in the Punisher’s armory and in the background are Hawkeye’s bow and quiver, Black Widow’s bracelets, Elektra’s knife, and, my favorite, Iron Man’s helmet. Just, y’know, stuff Frank picked up here and there.

    • i thought that was awesome as well.
makes me wonder if they are trophies from battles or if he grabbed them to study them to advance his own weaponry or if he just wants to study their weaknesses in case he runs into a hero trying to stop him(that way he could incapacitate them non-lethally, cuz to my knowledge frank has never tried to kill a hero).
      hell, all of the above.
regardless, this is the best punisher run i’ve ever read. if rucka sticks to it for a while, it could become legendary. i hope checchetto sticks around as well. his punisher rocks.
      make mine rucka!

  11. Great art, way too predictable of an ending.

  12. Loved this issue, can’t wait for DD. If Rucka want to write spider-man more often thats ok by me.

    • if rucka keeps on writing punisher as well, i would have no problem at all with him taking over a spider-man title. Amazing could use another writer IMO.
but anyways, this rucka/waid combo has yielded some awesome storytelling thus far. and some people say they saw the ending a mile away. well of course they did, it was foreshadowed in more than one panel. it wasn’t rocket science that led them to that conclusion. they wanted you to know. the only question was how it was going to happen.
