THE HYPERNATURALS #1

It is the far future; the human race has finally colonized the galaxy, preserving an era of prosperity that’s only possible because of The Hypernaturals. They’re a celebrated, galaxy-wide superhero task force that keeps the peace. That is, until they all mysteriously vanish. Now, as the galaxy teeters on the brink of chaos, it’s up to a group of retired and long forgotten Hypernaturals — and their novice recruits — to save the galaxy from complete destruction.

Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning, the superstar writing duo behind ANNIHILATION and THE LEGION, launch an all-new original series that takes cosmic super-heroes to a new frontier.

  1. Abnett and Lanning doing their own cosmic series with no restrictions on what they can and can’t do with their characters? How can anyone miss this? Their work over at Marvel with the Annihilations, Nova and Guardians of the Galaxy should be enough to get anyone interested in this new series!

  2. The Free Comic Book Day issue was awesome…this is easily my most anticipated book this week!

  3. Oh man, this first issue was solid gold. Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning to it again! Long Live the Legi… er…. THE HYPERNATURALS!

    • I agree…it was a really dense read and threw a lot at us but it didn’t feel like overload. It left me wanting to read it again and also impatiently wait til the next issue.

  4. Looking forward to reading this.

  5. Holy crap, this is exactly what I wanted from this series. Awesome, crazy cosmic fun with great characters and setup. The fingerprint on the planet is the best page of any comic I read this week.

  6. Totally picked this up on a whim while standing in line @ my LCS and, boy, am I glad I did!

  7. Cannot wait to read this!

  8. Amazing book. The story, the art, the design of the thing. Really didn’t expect to be this impressed. POTW.
