  1. Cap can regret breaking all the hands he wants, this is still one of my favorite comics being published.

  2. Was uncharacteristic of me to not like Brubaker’s writing from last issue, too much of a fan to give it up now, but hopefully Bucky and Falcon won’t be sending flowers or something to Zemo after they break his face.

  3. This will probably be my last issue, not really sure.

  4. I hope Guice can get his art back up to snuff, and this book needs a steady (cough frank d’armata cough) colorist.

  5. Been loving this book, but have been reading it in trades…so I won’t be dropping it 🙂

  6. SWITCHED AT BIRTH BARON ZEMO UNMASKED AND THE TOXIC AVENGER

  7. Solid 4 star issue. Good plot and story, but the quality of art is really hurting the book. Might be dropping this.

  8. it was a conclusion but also a new chapter for Bucky. What will people think about him being the Winter Soilder? I think this is what Brubaker is really wanting to focus on. This issue seemed a bit rushed. lots going on and quickly. Still my favorite book!!

  9. This felt like it was 12 pages of Bucky flip kicking people – seriously, do I need to see Bucky’s ass that much?  Short and forgetable and then a Nomad story that I didn’t read.

  10. All the Kirby swipes were tough to swallow. Guice was not doing anyone any favors with his pencils, nor Magyar with his inks. Plus, why was Zemo so upset with Bucky’s past? It’s almost as if he was acting as a motivational speaker for Buck in this one. Also — why is Bucky so easy to defeat in this book? It seems like Zemo gets the jump on his every other issue going back a few.

  11. I really liked everything about this issue but I still don’t really care about Bucky. And the art in the Nomad backup still bugs me even though I like the story.

  12. Am I the only one who read this final issue of the 5 issue arc and then went ‘huh?’  Baron Zemo did all this effort to force Bucky to go public about his past?!?  Huh??  And then just disappears?  Why does Zemo give a F?  The writing on this book continues its downward descent.  And I continue to wonder why I don’t drop it…but I guess I do love the cast and villains too much to leave.  But please, give me an arc to love man!  The Trial of Captain America.  Aw no.  I want Captain America to spend a major arc kicking cool super villain ass, working with Falcon, and saving the world, is that too much to ask?

@WilliamKScurryJr – Your comments are dead on.

  13. Yup, agree the art looked Kirby-esque, but thought it was a better effort by Guice on this issue than the last; and yea, I too was confused as to what Zemo’s point was.

Was kinda redundant how Bucky kept getting knocked out, only to escape later when he coulda easily been killed by Zemo, but guess that’s not what Zemo really wanted….?

Interesting how Zemo could wield the shield also, thought it took someone with extra special skill to do that, like super-soldier level skill or bionic arm level dexterity.  Hmmm.

  14. I loved the art. more Steranko than Kirby for me. I think thats why so many people are not responding to the book anymore. Brubaker /Epting was a very spy thriller espionage book, and it looked it. This book (as soon as the numbers switched back) is more of a traditional superhero book and looks it. If the Cap you dig is the modern one, this book isnt really gonna fill that need.
