I have the first two Gods and Monsters trades and now I’ll have all or RUSSIA. Am I all caught up for what’s leading to HELL ON EARTH?
new world was actually the first mini in the hell on earth storyline, then gods.
What a great series so far!
BPRD Hell on Earth:Russia was my first taste of the Mignola universe. Since then, I’ve picked up Abe Sapien: The Devil Does Not Jest, the new Lobster Johnson, BPRD Vol 1 TP and I’ve watched both Hellboy movies.
It’s like I’ve hit a formally untapped underground spring that will quench the thirst of the entire town!
I felt the same way when I first started reading the Mignolaverse. The best part is it just keeps getting better; if you like the books that have come out recently, I’m pretty sure you’ll enjoy everything else that has come before. I have read and re-read all the trades and it never gets old.
So good. This issue made the hellboy corner feel interesting again.
So glad I decided to go back and read 1946/1947 a few weeks ago. Awesome ending.
Yup, I want to go back to them after finishing this. Doing some brush-up will help with the wait for the next installment, which I don’t even know when it starts up again. Some cool minis are sheduled for the next few months. This was a wonderful chapter, and Crook’s art just keeps getting better. His regular characters have a cartoonish style, so when he draws creepy shit, it really stands out and it’s awesome.
I haven’t read the 1946/47 books yet. Is that why the end of this was confusing to me? Who is the girl at the very end of the book?
The head of the Soviet bureau in the 1946/47 series.
