Comic Books
In this original graphic novel, Batman meets his foe The Mad Hatter for the very first time – landing The Dark Knight in a Wonderland he could never have imagined, hot on the heels of a white rabbit. But is this strange place real or a hallucination? Robin and Alfred believe he’s deep in delirium – but if that’s the case, how does he manage to resolve several mysteries that have plagued Gotham City for decades…
This fantastic tale is spun by renowned comics writer Bruce Jones (THE INCREDIBLE HULK) with surreal art by Sam Kieth (THE MAXX, BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM – MADNESS, LOBO).

This sounds really interesting. If there’s a good buzz around it, I’ll definetly pick it up.
I passed because the last Batman hardback I bought, Batman Noel, had great art but a weak story. I’m not a huge Sam Kieth fan, though I did like the Maxx, and Bruce Jones is pretty bland to me, though his Hulk story started off great, and I do like Alice in Wonderland, so if this gets really good reviews I’ll get it. But I already got let down once.
But… Batman Noel is not related to this whatsoever?
Well, I don’t want to be buying a $23 hardcover unless it’s great. Batman Noel looked great but wasn’t – this looks less great. That’s all I’m saying.
Anyone already had time to read this? Would love to hear some opinions or first impressions.
I don’t care what the story is, I’m buying this purely for the Sam Kieth art. If the story is good that is just a bonus. If not, I’ll just look at the pretty pictures and it will be worth every penny in my opinion.
