  1. Well guess I’m the first comment then? Unfortunately this is going to be my last issue, just not enjoying it & with sooooooooooooooo much good stuff coming out at image my money is going there!

Hope all of you that still are getting this enjoy, just not for me.

    • The first chapter of the crossover the book has been building to for the last year is going to be your last issue?

    • Yep, I’m bored & have had enough……just can’t be bothered anymore!

    • Dude, I’m so with you on this. I really wanted to like this and Swamp Thing, but I dropped them both a couple issues back. I look at the title of this new “four part epic” and see “Rotworld: the Red Kingdom” and it just seems like this thing has gone no where since I dropped it.
I love Lemire’s other stuff, but just couldn’t get into this.

    • Yeah this is the first issue that I’m dropping. I seriously can’t take this rot business any more. Let alone another 4 months of it. They just need to move on already.

    • First one I dropped too. I had enough a long time ago. Sounds cool, but not for 4 months, maybe 4 months ago, but not 4 more months. Plus it has crossovers involved. I’m way over Animal Man and Swamp Thing. Top favorites the first few months. I agree that there is way to much good stuff out there. Relieved I’m not the only one.

  2. Dropped

  3. This is one of the only DC books I am reading right now. I was going to drop it but I want to see where they go with it.

  4. Well, I’ll be the first positive comment: cannot wait for this! Love this series, it’s consistently good, the rot is terrifying and I surprisingly enjoyed the zero issue. The first week of nearly every month brings me the joy of reading animal man and swamp thing after the depression of having to pay a bunch of bills.

  5. Finally. Hopefully Animal Man can now get back on track and thrill us like it used to!

    • Not until they get an artist that is equally as good as Travel Foreman. Still a good book but nowhere near where it used to be with Steve Pugh on art.

    • I disagree, Pugh is doing a fantastic job on art. Just look at that cover!

    • I like Pugh far better as well. Dropped this anyway though unless reviews and reader response show that it’s picked up a bit.

    • Pugh is better. Foreman is great at drawing grotesques but crappy at drawing regular people. Pugh can draw both pretty well.

    • Foreman is way better as his style fits the book like a glove. The wierd and grotesque go hand in hand with his unconventional drawings and dark shading. Pugh is rubbish as he cannot pull it off as good, his style is too clean. The characters never stand out from their backgrounds. I dropped this titile because of the artist change and am not coming back.

    • It’s funny, when issue one came out there were plenty of people complaining about Foreman’s art, and now it’s the same thing with Pugh; gotta love the internet, she is a fickle bitch. I liked Foreman’s style, but I could understand how it turned some off. I’m surprised though that so many don’t like Pugh’s work, he draws some creepy shit, and I agree w/Willups that he draws regular people better.

  6. Wow, “only” another, what, HALF YEAR of this “Rot” stuff?

(Can’t wait to get back into this series, and Swamp Thing, once this is finally OVER.)

  7. To each his own, Personally I love this series along with Swamp Thing and I’m very excited to see where this ride goes.

  8. Good jumping on point? I have the first trades of this and swamp thing to read. Think that’ll be enough?

  9. Im still loving Swamp Thing but Animal Man has lost its luster time. Im trying it this week but I am really close to dropping.

  10. Haters gonna hate, I love this Rot story and I wouldn’t care if it went on for another year. It’s still better than the majority of DC’s other books these days.

  11. I’m getting the top 7 or 8 pulled books this week. I feel so lamestream.

  12. I’ve loved the Rot storyline, but I do agree that it has dragged on too long. I’m sticking with it, but I’ll be glad when it’s over.

  13. i enjoyed the start of this end of Rotworld compared to Swamp Thing this week

  14. can i just say all those guys who are gonna drop it re read that last issues. it really breathes life into it.

  15. Finally, it seems that stuff might actually happen now. I like the guy that did the pages with the fam…but the other guy, not as much. Especially when it comes to the action sequences.

  16. For any complainers reading these comments, this would be a bad time to drop the book since the shit’s finally getting real. If you’ve been waiting for it to reach Berzerkistan, it’s there!

  17. This was one of the most talked about books for nearly the entire year, I didn’t like the art or the story and didn’t keep it past issue 1. I just find it amazing that one person on a book can change everyones view and actually ruin the book, you would think DC would pick and artist style close to the one thats been selling the book but hey! what do I know, I just read them, or not!

    • I’m not exactly sure what you’re trying to say. You haven’t read the title after issue 1, but you seem to think that everyone else doesn’t like it in spite of the fact that it always one of the top pulls here the week it comes out and it’s selling well in general. I’ve had a few criticisms, but I’m still buying and reading. I don’t read books that I don’t like.

  18. Yet another brillliant issue of my current fave comic series.

  19. I love both Animal Man and Swamp Thing. Great characters driven by great writers and artist! Can’t wait to see were this is going!
