The Green Lanterns travel to a prison asteroid to find a legendary code that holds the key to crossing an impenetrable asteroid barrier called ‘The Maelstrom’ before Atrocitus and his Red Lantern armada can do so. Unfortunately, a Thanagarian prisoner named Byth Rok is the only one that knows the code.

The first thing I think about when it comes to Green Lantern The Animated Series is, nobody ever seems to talk about Green Lantern the Animated Series.

i like the sound the giant hawkman made when green lantern hit him, reminds me of the snl motion capture sketch with eli manning throwing an imaginary grenade.

Haha, the episode is actually called “FLight Club” – and I thought it was pretty good, amping the drama of this upcoming war between the Reds and Oa. It was fun to see Thanagarians, and yeah, this Byth Rok was a hoot (kind of like a more selfish version of Hal). And every time I see those yellow crystals it makes me wonder when we’ll be seeing a certain sinister Korugarian…
The only thing I disliked was seeing the Hawks fly freely in cold space.
I was wondering about the Hawks flying in space as well. I’m don’t know much about Thanagarians, but I’m pretty sure they can’t breathe/fly in space.
Shouldn’t that ring have left that dead lantern to find a new candidate?
Isn’t that established in this series as well.

I’m guessing it was because the charge was gone and the yellow rocks probably drained it too much to even seek out a replacement. Maybe not that it’s out it’ll find someone. Or maybe after a charge.
How do you spell the name of the Green Lantern who’s skeleton was in the prison with the ring still on? i wanna look him up but dont know how to spell it.
