Perhaps it is unfair, but the comparison is inevitable in my mind. This is scarcely a glimmer of the wonderful…

This is likely the best issue of Aaron’s tenure on this title thus far. The story is beginning to make…

May 11, 2011 7:53 pm Hint to DC: make better books. This strikes me as very similar to the console wars in video games. If X costs 100 and Y costs 150. Which do consumers buy? The answer is and has been, as proven by statistics, the one that has the most access to the highest selling games. DC has been stumbling since Blackest Night and has not had a cohesive plan. I think that shows as Marvel has had a much smoother time handling its scheduling and transitions.
May 11, 2011 2:50 pm I am glad that Fox passed on Locks and Key. I began rereading the first book this morning... a normal network cannot do it justice. It needs AMC, FX, HBO or Showtime treatment. A network that allows a bit more edge and grit.
May 8, 2011 11:48 pm Saw this tonight. I'd give it a C-. Was entirely unimpressed with any of the acting, save Loki. The fight choreography was slow and boring. The dialogue was trite and predictable, I quoted almost every line before it was even delivered. This movie lives on sentiment alone and has nothing beyond surface depth.
May 6, 2011 2:06 pm I feel as though the novelty of the superhero movie has worn off for me. Now, rather than being happy that there was a decent one made I expect them to be good. If they look remotely weak I start to feel turned off by them. I would rather see these characters done well in books than done at all in movies. However, I can wish into perpetuity for this and it will not be. 75% of the reason these books are being made presently is in hope of turning it into a blockbuster summer film. What happens when the mood shifts and superhero movies aren't en vogue? Disney and Warner cut support for the print lines and cost these creators a ton of jobs? I haven't enjoyed the las few superhero movies very much and it seems as though Hollywood has found their formula for them... which they will naturally beat to a blood pulp and leave for dead.
May 5, 2011 6:32 pm Hate this entire idea. The reason I like Vertigo stories is that they live on their own. They have beginnings, middles and ends. I don 19t want to see what happens when Yorick meets Batman. That would suck balls. Even more super friendly characters like Swamp Thing and Constantine are better off alone IMO.
May 4, 2011 4:44 pm Gabe is amazing if anyone hasn't bought some of his work.
May 4, 2011 3:27 pm I basically come down with Jason on this. The primary reason I go to cons is to meet creators and get art. I own a few pages and dozens of commissions. I hate that this market will now raise prices on what is already a fairly expensive market.
April 30, 2011 9:09 pm I am pretty sure Carl is done. Doesn't bother me. Quesion: will Rick survive it? Money says no.
April 30, 2011 9:07 pm Wish this came out at a better pace. Distance is causing me to lose interest.
April 30, 2011 9:01 pm This was totally horrible.
