September 26, 2011 2:10 pm i would like to echo on this topic.i last bought comics in 1995,the trade for iron man armor wars back in my home country philippines.after that,i went to college and went to work overseas.im now here in qatar and i thought,id like to get back to comics to pass the time.but there aint no comic shop here so i turned to scanned copies from peer to peer sharing websites.i enjoyed reading those comics but after a year or so,i realized that im gettin these books the wrong way so through ifanboy, newsarama and other websites,i found dcbs.i ordered trades of those i downloaded and spent a ton for shipping.then came the digital copies which i think are a great way to get my books without those shipping costs.although id love to physically hold those books, the convenience of reading those books the same day you guys read them has been a delight.with that said, goin digital is the next logical step.and im glad somebody thinks so too..just thinking aloud.great read, jim.thanks
September 8, 2011 9:39 am sorry to be posting this here but i just want to ask ron and the guys about my "problem".im a new reader and i decided to give all 52 a chance.at least on the first story arc.did DC release any info on what issue does the first story arc on every title end?cause i dont want to be buying static shock (but my son might dig) or wonder woman and any other title i dont wanna continue reading.i live here in the middle east and i preorder on DCBS and my books arrive about a month or two late so i might be ordering issue 5 or 6 but the arc ended at issue4.so any help will be appreciated.
September 6, 2011 12:56 pm thanks, ken.but they should allow me to read previously purchased and downloaded copies without the need to log in to their website.make no mistake,im happy with the ipad app with comixology's guided view technology but to really appreciate the art, especially two page spreads,a big screen works better.ah,well.im sure its something only a few people only complain about.
September 6, 2011 12:41 pm i meant readin it in my computer without being online
September 6, 2011 12:22 pm im a relatively new comic book enthusiast (started buyin comics during the sinestro corps war run) and since im not in the states (im in the middle east),ive been buying trades.when the new 52 was first announced,i thought its time to start collecting issues but i thought digital copies would be better for my situation.my only problem with the digital copies is that comixology dont allow you to read it outside their app.that frustrates me because i admit, before ifanboy and CGS made me care about comics again,i was reading comics via downloaded scanned issues.since the digital copies are sold at 2.99 or 1.99,they should be more flexible in letting the "owners" of the comic on how they read their books.my ipad sometimes feel small so i sometimes have the urge to read on my 24" monitor.anyway, just a thought though.i hope they do something about it because digital is the future.

April 15, 2010 7:17 am if brightest day is half as good as BN,id buy these books in a heartbeat, despite critics and so-called experts bashing geoff johns for a number of insecure reasons,he handled the GL books really well.i hate it when people talk about hating but still continue to buy those "hated" titles.dudes, get real.
