September 30, 2011 9:34 pm Looks like this is another one of those times where I'm not in with the in crowd. I did not like this at all. The art was not all that great and kind of confusing at times. In fact the whole issue was confusing. Are we jumping around in time every other page? What the heck is going on here? I have no idea and I really don't think I care. This might be one of those times where it reads better in a collected edition.
September 23, 2011 7:16 pm Absolutely loved this. kennyg is right. This is how you write a space cop book. I was upset that Kyle would not be teamed with Guy anymore because I thought that was a great buddy team but Stewart looks to be just as good. Maybe I just Guy so much I'm happy to see him riff with anybody. The art was very nice to look at as well. More Space. More Aliens. More Guy and Stewart please.
September 21, 2011 11:06 pm This is the first book I've read this week and it's the one to beat for my pick of the week. Wow. What a great issue. I loved the art and the writing. I just smiled throughout this entire issue. One thing I think is interesting to note. I've heard a lot on this site and around the net about how the Batman corner of the universe was untouched by the reboot. After reading this issue and Batman and Robin I don't believe that to be true. This is a very different Batman. A Batman that is looking to the future, a Batman that smiles once in awhile. A Batman that won't let the ghosts of the past haunt him any longer. A Batman that understands the importance of family. And I'm loving every minute of it.
September 21, 2011 10:53 pm I thought the same thing in that scene. Tim and Damien were ok but I would think Dick would be almost as tall as Bruce or at least closer in height. Then take that scene and think about how tall Lincolm March must be. He towered over Bruce.
September 17, 2011 9:49 pm For Immonen I will always come back. What ever her draws, I'm there. I'm not really enjoying this series mainly because I really don't understand what's going on but I'll be finishing it out anyway.
September 17, 2011 9:46 pm Wow. What a great book. I loved every bit of the imagination of this book. The characters, the headquaters, the old boss in the body of a young girl who for some reason wears a mask. LOL. I'm ok with the art. A few profiles and faces where indeed just downright horrible but the overall feel was good to me. Not my favorite type of art but I'm on board for more and have no real complaints only niggles. Will I be back for issue 2? You can bet your sweet bippy.
September 17, 2011 9:42 pm I was ok. Not the best but I like the idea of the character and the tease that Power Girl might show up is definatley a plus. The art was good to bad in spots. I agree with a commentor earlier some of the contrived race issues where really poor. And I felt nothing when his wife died. I was more confused than upset for the character. How does her GPS going haywire make her crash her car and die? Why would an EMS tech even mention or know that? Totally weird. I hope this gets better. Not the worst of the 52 I've read so far. I'm tenitive with this series. I'll be back for issue 2 to see how it goes.
September 15, 2011 8:59 pm This did absolutely nothing for me. I was kinda looking forward to a Grifter book but this is not the character from Wildstorm that I liked. I have no idea what is going on in this issue or why I should care. The art was lackluster. I doubt I'll be back. I'll leaf through the next issue and make my decision then but as of now, not looking good for Cole.
September 15, 2011 12:14 am I agree. Before the reboot we were beginning to see him change, I thought. Dick was a great influence on him. Now its like we've reset him to just like he was when he first showed up. I don't want to have to play that level again. That being said I really did enjoy this issue. The art was great. I like that Batman is beginning to move on and grown. I'm interested enough to stay on despite my irritation with Damian.
September 15, 2011 12:11 am 4 star book for me. I've been loving the GL story since Rebirth and this is just a continuation for me. Not a great issue but not bad. This book does get an extra bump for me personally. When I first heard of the 52 reboot this and Batman were my greatest worries and while Dick as Batman has indeed gone the way of the Dodo I am relieved to see my favorite story of GL continue as if nothing happened. I had heard that this was indeed the case but until I read this issue I was holding my breath. I was hot and cold on the art from page to page. Sinestro in space looked awesome but some of the close ups of Hal were downright scary looking. I like that Hal is having some personal trouble. Its like he's Peter Parker or something. Ha. This one is a definite for me. I will be staying on with this series for the foreseeable future. If you liked it before you should like it now if you didn't like it before then don't bother.
