I haven’t been a big fan of Bendis’ Avengers writing and the wordiness that comes with it, but I could…

November 1, 2012 4:04 pm Scott Snyder books have dominated my pull lists for the last couple of years. It'd be easy for me to pick Batman and I do love his work with Capullo. But I have to go with the book that brought him to the comic game - American Vampire. What he's done to really build a vampire mythology and still keep it fresh is amazing. That's saying something when vampires have been done to death in all mediums. And his mini-series with Felicia Book gives us more interesting angles to look at in the vampire wars. Yes, it's going on a hiatus soon, but you did ask what the best book is now and this is it...
October 31, 2012 7:20 pm I'm not Fraction's biggest fan either - never could get into his Thor work and Fear Itself obviously left a bad taste in everybody's mouths. My opinion of him is slowly changing though because of Hawkeye. If he can make this his own like he did for Hawkeye, I think this book will do great.
October 27, 2012 8:05 pm @5:32 on top left corner of video - I'm famous!! I Draw Comics looks great. We can never have enough instructional books on the comic art craft.
October 14, 2012 8:36 am I thought about this more and wouldn't be surprised if they wanted to hold off until January so that it becomes uninterrupted for the majority of next year. That being said, poor planning on the WB and CN's part when they only just brought it back recently. Worse thing is when January does come, people are going to take a while to catch up on the storylines (if they're even interested, at that point).
October 11, 2012 8:27 am I liked the issue, but it didn't quite pop for me. I think Cassaday had a lot to do with that. His work here is definitely miles better than all of his cover work in recent years, but I didn't get a sense of those dynamic layouts that I knew him for with Astonishing X-Men. Only the last page cliffhanger stood out to me, so I'm holding out that things will just get better in future issues. Remender is still on his A game, though I think he needs a hug after that last page... I really have to stick myself in the Batman camp though. #13 was just fantastic. The mood, the omens in the opening monologue, and the art. My gosh, was Capullo on in this one. Kudos to this team - this arc is going to be amazing.
September 29, 2012 11:22 am Thank you, Young Justice, for coming back and being awesome as always. The whole battle with Speedy and Mercy was fantastic.
August 19, 2012 11:28 pm But it definitely was on my on-demand for Time Warner last Sunday when I watched it. Mishap on TW's part?
August 19, 2012 9:44 pm Didn't this already air in the US last week? I saw it on-demand on Time Warner. Great episode still.
August 10, 2012 9:22 am Remender will definitely make this a win for sure on the writing side. My fear is Romita Jr. Don't get me wrong - I appreciate his talent too, but his work on AvX felt really lacking. I'm hoping that was more because he was being rushed. Long as he gets the time to put in the details, this will be an awesome run.
August 8, 2012 9:13 am I've said it before and I'll say it again. This series (both the main book and mini-series) needs more pulls...
