April 11, 2010 3:11 pm Yeh its their icon book. I remember Bendis mentioning it at Emerald City. Its Bendis/ Maleev though, so im sold. even if it was about two midgets sitting around talking about politics for 22 pages a month id buy it for that team

April 6, 2010 6:25 pm I'd say its Cable because he's aged so much in the past year. Hes been away over a decade so he has to be really freaking old now, they need to possibly de-age him somehow. Though i wouldnt be surprised if its Kurt. Fraction had said he has big plans for him, which kept Slott from using him in Mighty Avengers, which he had wanted, and Fraction has done nothing major with him for a while. Plus they have been building up Pixie and Magick as other teleporters. I think seeing his morality come through in the first issue of second coming, i think Scott would hurt most if his secrets caused Kurt's death.

April 2, 2010 1:33 pm Dam i was hoping it would be .99 cent an issue. After all i thought the whole price rise in comics was more to do with the rising cost of paper and the higher grade papers they use today. Surely the fact that it is now out of the equation they should be cheaper. Having said that i would not mind buying brand new issues for 1.99 because i could still buy new avengers and have the extra budget for an indie issue, but back issues should NOT be 1.99. even stuff a year old should not cost that much

March 31, 2010 9:33 pm Loved this issue. One of the things i was actually disappointed with in blackest night was that the focus of some of the early and middle issues was taken away from Hal and i loved how this was very much a Hal issues as opposed to other issues that focused on dead characters returning or even Barry who got a lot of face time when Hal's adventure was relegated (not in a really bad way) to Green Lantern. An excellent close to the series. Can't wait for Brightest day now and i might pick up the flash also

March 5, 2010 5:02 pm the thing??? i was not expecting it but im loving it! Plus knowing Bendis already works closely with Hickman on Secret Warriors hopefully he can work Grimm onto the team and not interfere with Hickman's stellar work so far

March 5, 2010 1:53 am I agree with the idea that Luke Cage is the new leader. He has more than earned it and has shown he can be good in the role. Clint has been the unofficial leader for the past year so i think its time Luke got his chance.

March 4, 2010 8:36 pm When they were semi-revealing the Secret Avengers line-up I seem to recall they revealed two silhouettes on the friday so they might reveal two more characters tomorrow. If they are Iron Fist and Daredevil this book will float right to the top of my must read pile.

March 3, 2010 11:49 pm I'm starting to warm a lot more to the idea of this book. Yes Cage, Spidey and Wolverine have been on the book for a long period but since Cap died the book, for me anyway, has felt more like a vehicle between events. it kind of led from civil war to secret invasion then to siege without being its own entity. If the role the book took is now filled by "Avengers" and have that be the big, universe changing book then New Avengers could have its own great niche. Also i have never really felt Cage as being the absolute leader since Steve and Tony left and if they make it apparent right away he's leading, i'd be very happy to see him, Spidey and Wolverine be major players with major voices in the Avengers universe as opposed to how Spidey and Wolverine are used now as they feel kind of like secondary characters
