September 28, 2011 7:11 pm Oh man, this was so bad. The forced new media words ("tweet", etc) .. so craptastic. "Did you see that tweet?" "Quick, get this news on Facespace stat!" "Hack the security cameras lowly news-person!"
WTF?
August 31, 2011 5:03 pm I don't know what "decompression" means in the context of comics, and why it is a bad thing in this issue, but I've never liked DC comics.
I read this JLA issue today.
I now want about 10-12 DC titles on my pull list.
I'm super excited.
June 23, 2011 3:09 pm Will this still be full of crap art? This Avengers of Old storyline in New Avengers has completely ruined the book for me. No matter how it ties in now, the issues with the disjointed flashbacks were just poorly written, executed and especially drawn.
What sort of feedback did Marvel get to say "Hey, we need more bloated, bulbous, fat-faced art in a book."?
January 19, 2011 4:34 pm The art is finally better? THANK GOODNESS! This pseudo-anime style bullshit of the past couple issues has been driving me nuts.
Peter parker and MJ are chunky in this. I love how in the old art MJ looks mature and like a woman, but in the new art she looks younger and with an extra 20lbs of chubby teen fat. WTF?
We get it. Shit was reset. Stop throwing it in our faces all the time. Even the people who liked OMD and BND are tired of being reminded that they used to be married before Mephistogeddon took place.
I like how Luke Cage is here but also leading the Thuderbolts. And Spider-Man and Wolverine are here as well. Are they hoping we don't notice? I mean, comics have always done that, but lately it seems far more prevalent.
This Avengers title is at least worthy of reading and looking at.

This battle should have been spread out over two issues. It felt like I was watching a fight scene in fast-forward mode.
Disappointed it wasn't more .. well .. epic.
In summation: total crap.
I kinda liked the Sentry. Sorta.
But to treat him like he was friggin' Superman is down right ridiculous.
This book is/was a complete waste of money.
