February 22, 2010 5:05 pm Having spent all weekend catching up on Tom Vs. the Flash while writing papers, I'd say it's pretty consistent with Barry's character to show up this late. Here's hoping the issue opens up with Iris complaining about it.
February 17, 2010 3:06 pm Way to go guys! Y'all have been THE most consistent source of info and enthusiasm for the comics industry in my life, and I can't tell you how much iFanboy has encouraged my love for the hobby. I really do hope that in joining forces with graphic.ly, you guys gain a greater voice and a stronger presence. Long live the iFanboys!!!!
February 14, 2010 2:32 am I've supported and enjoyed this book from the beginning, despite thinking it would never work, but this... this was the worst thing I've read in months, artwise. I have NO idea what happened in this book - couldn't even tell who the X-Force team regulars were. If Josh needs a counterpoint for a future storytelling segment on the video podcast, I'd like to nominate this entire issue.
February 9, 2010 5:19 pm @CDPO - Great, thanks - I'll have to do some local digging to see if I can uncover a copy of the annual then. What exactly is so different about Starro from past appearances? As best I can tell, the ginormous starfish himself is still floating about out there, sending out those spores - is the Conquerer his herald of some sort, or an incarnation of Starro? I'm assuming all of this is covered in that book, naturally...

I found the first 10 issues of this series at a Half-Price Books the other night and devoured the first 6 in one sitting - this book is GREAT! My understanding of the history of L.E.G.I.O.N., outside of some late-night wikipedery, borders on zilch, but I love the characters and the plotting.

One question: can anybody tell me if the annual is vital to the story? All of my Starro knowledge is based on Tom Katers...

October 23, 2009 10:07 am Enjoyed this a lot! Whedon does Umbrella Academy vibe, anyone?
April 23, 2009 9:19 pm @Urthona  Agreed on the art - Luke Ross did a really great job on this issue. The title page with dreamy Escher staircases was some good stuff. On top of that, I loved the first page of Sharon's dream at the end with the old-school Red Skull and the imagery of hands everywhere - in the lst panel, the wiring of Baron Zola's "neck" even turs into a pair of andriody hands gripping his robot cam head. Not quite a Geiger vibe, but cool stuff.

I wasn't sure I was going to be that into this book, even after hearing Ivan Brandon hype it on the video show last week, but I'll give it a shot. I'm really hoping that it pulls off a Scalped vibe - another book i need to start supporting via floppy instead of trade-waiting.

I was looking forward to this book all week, and while the Robinson-Martin story was fantastic, my copywas misprinted - every other page is off-center. I'm cool with the occaissional misprinted page, but when it jacks up the story flow as a result... Sucks.  :(

Anybody else have an issue with the print-job on this book?
