August 8, 2013 4:22 pm fourthed, isn't he , like, scientist supreme? Also, Ted Kord, at least according to Max Lord (smarter than Batman?)
July 23, 2013 1:27 pm I am so there with the rocketeer/the spirit. that cover looks gorgeous.
July 2, 2013 2:53 pm I have been attending ComicCon since you could simply walk up to the door on the day and buy a ticket (12 years ago) to the current frenzied lottery/registration system. I got tix for this year for the Sunday. However, even if I had failed to get tix I would have gone downtown on the Saturday (I live in San Diego County) just to people watch. Let me make an analogy here. In Edinburgh every august there is an arts festival, biggest one in the world, lasts for 3 weeks, awesome. Started out as official , and performers who couldnt get in to the official festival just showed up anyway and started a Fringe Festival. The Fringe is now the tail that wags the dog. It is huge, people peform where they can. I noticed that in San Diego, there are satellite events during Comic Con, Nickeloden setup in the children's museum a few years ago, separate events , no ComicCon ticket required. Down town buzzes, there is a vibe. People go to people-watch. Cosplayers abound, carnival atmosphere pervades the area. Its a good area, gaslamp district ,down by the embarcadero. There is the beginning of a fringe event occuring, the convention is expanding beyond the confines of its original venue. This may continue, and would be good. Vendors setup outside the convention center, the event expands to fit the desire of people to attend. I did attend Wondercon in Anaheim this year, it was full of folks who couldnt get ComicCon tix. I believe that the ComicCon event is expanding beyond its official mandate and a brightly colored fringe is birthing...

June 25, 2013 2:43 pm He worked on the Inhumans series from a few years back, my first experience of his work http://www.amazon.com/The-Inhumans-Paul-Jenkins/dp/0785107533
June 3, 2013 11:04 am Love this incarnation of the League. Love these guys. Ted's glory days.
June 3, 2013 10:55 am not to Nit-Pick, but Mister Miracle and Big Barda had a 'splash' reveal in Earth 2 #11
May 23, 2013 11:27 am Excellent starting points. I love these guys. I have fuzzy memories of their appearances from 40 years ago. I recently made aconcerted effort to gather an almost complete set of their appearances. I started with second hand copies of the masterworks, the inhumans 12 parter, the more recent inhumans and fantastic four cross overs in various trades and some flotsam from across the decades. I went through secret wars, decimation and ended up at war of kings! Then I had to read the recent FF series to see the return of black bolt. Its all good.
May 15, 2013 10:39 am I recall that the Ventriloquist was the antagonist in one of the Dredd/Batman cross overs. That story was actually my first exposure to the ventriloquist. i also liked his plot line in the KnightFall Epic.
April 12, 2013 1:23 pm I was buying my boy (7 at the time, 10 now) the Batman: Brave and the Bold series that tied in with the TV show. When it was cancelled and DC switched us to the green lantern tie in comic, we went with the flow. he enjoys it. I recently took him to WonderCon and he hunted down Avatar trades at the Dark Horse booth, having plonked down a substantial chunk of his hard earned allowance for the Avatar deluxe Omnibus that recently came out. I also got him the recent "Thor: the Mighty Avenger" trade, which he is currently reading. He has his own tastes, they don't extend as deeply into 'capes' as mine do, but he does have his interests. My 5 year old adores SpongeBob comics. I feel that my kids are looking to comics to expand their much loved TV show universe. we regularly visit comics shops for 'treats', i notice that my eldest also picked up some "adventure time" comics recently.
