I wasn’t expecting to feel so helpless after reading this issue. Venom #9 is a great addition into the Spider-Man…

February 28, 2012 11:26 am Civil War was when I started reading comics. Being new to comics, I bought EVERY tie-in thinking it would be germane to the story. It was ridiculous but I still think it was a great story. I have since learned my lesson.
February 7, 2012 12:05 pm Totally agree. I really liked the scene in the car where he's mocking the their. I hope we get more one liners in this than in the previous films.
February 6, 2012 3:10 pm Yes Ribic is back!!! Josh made a good point on the last POTW podcast about this being one of the few mediums that has different artist tell a story. Having different directors and cinematographers tell different sections of one film would be jarring. That's how I feel when reading this book. With Ribic, it looks so clean and strong but with changes in art it just kind of throws off the feel. Can't wait to see where this story goes.
January 31, 2012 10:02 am I wasn't a fan of Tocchini on his Batman & Robin arc but the art was better on this book. I like the Danger Room scenes and I think Dean White's colors really helped to create a different feel in Otherworld. I'm not a rabid Tocchini fan but I'm glad Remender is working with artist he wants. It will definitely help to inspire great stories.
January 26, 2012 11:53 am I have never read a Flash story before but started reading on issue #1. This has been so good. The art is great and as a new reader, it seems a good introduction to the character. This past issue left on a great ending and excited to see where it will go. Definitely a new fan.
January 23, 2012 3:21 pm I totally agree with you. This book is so good but I wish they would have had an artist that flowed better with Ribic. I just didn't like Peterson's art on the last issue. Can't wait to read this. I actually kind of like the cover.
January 23, 2012 12:24 pm Thank you for this article. I have a four month old girl and I haven't even considered which comic book women I would feel comfortable with being her favorite. That's if she cares. I do know I don't want to hear "Look Daddy, I'm going as Ms. Marvel for Halloween. All I needed was a black bathing suit and thigh high boots." Ugh I'm not ready for future.
January 5, 2012 4:15 pm 100% agree with Opena being #1. I would also add Paolo Rivera for his Daredevil work, David Aja for his Wolverine one shot and Secret Avengers issue and Esad Ribic for Ultimates.
January 2, 2012 7:29 pm As much as I loved Uncanny X-Force, the best single issue of this year was Daredevil #1. It was a great way to revitalize the character, begin a great new story and show off the art of both Paolo Rivera and Marcos Martin.
