November 16, 2009 10:06 pm Yeah, this was okay, but I would've liked to have seen a little more follow-up to the style of the BKV mini. This seems more like a Teen Strange book with Doc hanging around to me.
November 9, 2009 8:28 pm That costume design is awful. Looks like she put it together at a sporting goods store. They'd have been better off sticking her in Babs or Cass's old threads.
I don't understand why everyone is so down on the Legion when they show up (IFanboys included, seems like at times). There are certainly no more Legionnaires than there are X-Men or Avengers or any larger team or universe (I haven't done a count, but I know it's definitely less than 198). You may not know them as well as a group you're more familiar with, but it's not required to know every characters name, address, and back story to enjoy a Legion story. They do have a rich history, but any writer worth their salt is going to tell you anything more you need to know than "Superman's buds from the future who save the universe on occasion."
In fact, you can visibly see how much Johns learned from earlier Legion creators. In his JSA, Titans, Flash, etc., work you can truly see someone who read Paul Levitz's and Keith Giffen's excellent Legion work (among others).
October 26, 2009 8:17 pm Yeah, this is definitely headed some massive climax where all the strings they've been introducing since the series launched come together (probably jumping off into the next space mega-series).
September 30, 2009 2:14 am It's actually been A VAST improvement over the past few months. The aimlessness and lack of character-direct the book seemed to suffer after Johns left has ebbed significantly.

In any case, this book is going to rock.
