Uncanny Avengers #3 surprised me. Rick Remender is a real talent and I’ve known this since I started reading FEAR…

Goddamn this book was good! Since the launch of JLD the potential for the magic Justice League has been unrealised….

July 6, 2013 8:28 am What a verbose comic. Matt Fraction is, for me, probably the biggest hit or miss writer in comics. Compare this book with just about any issue of Hawkeye. Hawkeye uses an economy of dialogue that allows Aja's artwork to draw the reader in, this issue is guilty of garrulousness of the highest order. I got about halfway through and stopped caring, just continued leafing through and enjoying the art. I loved the Chaykin art, so intricate, and I really love the black and white aesthetic.
July 2, 2013 7:58 am So psyched for Sandman, I love JH Williams, what an amazing artist. Yes yes yes.
June 26, 2013 9:09 am Great issue, has me excited for Pak on Action. Jae Lee is one of those artists that, for me, can draw all the comics along with J.H Williams, David Aja and Frank Quitely
June 20, 2013 12:39 am I loved this issue! Uncanny Avengers is going from strength to strength. Loved the Wolverine in Bruce Lee duds and the big reveal at the end. I think evil Sentry may be the best use of the character I've seen, maybe he won't cry as much this time. Really excited to see where this goes, Remender you magnificent bastard!
June 18, 2013 8:09 pm Does anyone know when/if Opena is coming back?
June 14, 2013 4:54 am I was so psyched for this series to start and I will give it a couple more issues to gain some traction but god I was disappointed. The story was mediocre and the art! Where was Jim Lee? I love that guy's art, this was some flat and lifeless work from someone who I don't recognise.
June 13, 2013 6:46 am You are in for some good times, highly recommend both the mini-series as well, all very good work.
June 12, 2013 11:10 pm I really dig the way Albuquerque draws female faces, there is something about his use of expression and line that is just beautiful.
June 12, 2013 9:44 pm @TonyyyG I'm saying both! Let's call it a wrap on the old superheroes and not only rehash Miller but get the man himself back to write all the comics'ss! But seriously, I was just throwing a little love to Year One which IMHO is a timeless masterpiece. I truly hope that Zero Year is fantastic, I am rooting for both Snyder and Capullo, an update to the origin story treated with love and respect is welcome. I was originally questioning the need for a "new origin" which would be ridiculous as Batman has one of the most elegant origin stories in comics.
