Maybe that's the point, bringing back women who had a romantic attatchment to Cyclops? Could Jean be next?  Lee Forrester? Oh wait, she aint' dead.

@Jim- I agree with you. The Land art was distracting as always, with all of the women plastered with post-sex smiles on their faces, even during the heat of battle.  I'm no fan of Dodson, either, but I'd kill to have him do the art by himself and kick Land to the curb.

April 16, 2009 12:23 pm Yeah, this storyline hasnt done much for me but I did enjoy this issue since we finally got some explanation as to why Charles did what he did to Danger and how it came about. That kinda pulled me back into the story since it was something I never quite understood. The stuff with Rogue just feels like more of the same, though.  She goes through one of these things every few years it seems, where she loses control or her personalities start taking over. I could do with less of that.
April 15, 2009 12:25 pm @parker That's a good point. Beast did already take this approach, and they made a huge deal about it by putting it in every X-men comic. Maybe the real difference this time is that he's actually getting help, rather than getting the cold shoulder.

Greg Land is terrible, and with the sales on the book continuing to slide there's no excuse for Marvel to keep him around. Bring in another artist to rotate with Dodson. I don't care who it is. As for Fraction's writing, it's a bit hit or miss. His plots seem a bit scattered but I like what he's trying to do in general.

Aren't these guys a little too accepting of Carol Danvers being on the team? I mean she spent the better part of a year trying to bring them in for being outlaws. Then one issue she just turns up and it's okay? Whatever.

March 18, 2009 11:13 am @blulew23-I agree, Prof X long ago served his purpose. It'd be nice to see the torch permanently passed to Cyclops, rather than waiting for the Prof to inevitably take over again.  Still, this series has been better than I anticipated. I've enjoyed everything up until now. This storyline doesn't do much for me because I'm not that interested in exploring Rogue's past or her current issues.
March 18, 2009 8:21 am This book's still a little hit or miss with me. I'm not really diggin' the Colossus stuff right now, but I love the science team part of it. Not that it matters. I'm in for the long haul, anyway.
March 17, 2009 10:49 am Bendis always starts off like a house of fire, then slows it to a crawl. I dug the first two issues, but don't know how long I'll stick with it. If it stays at this pace, I'm there for the long haul.
March 4, 2009 2:35 pm @TheNextChampion-And the problem with that is....? Seriously, when people start talking about the purpose of a comic, it makes me laugh. None of these books have a real purpose. What's the purpose of Daredevil? Or Spider-Man? They have no purpose other than to be entertaining.
