February 22, 2011 4:20 pm I am so saddened by Mr. McDuffie's passing.  He was a true trailblazer for minority creators being one of the founders of the Milestone line.  He was just a brilliant man as evidenced by his work in the DC animated universe. This is truly a tragic loss.
February 8, 2011 5:08 pm For many years, a great desire of mine was to attend SDCC in person having never been before. Now? No thank you. I've heard too many horror stories about the ticket buying process, standing in lines, the crowds, the multi-media overload, rude people, etc.  Don't get me wrong, SDCC's growth is a sign of it's enormous popularity and success, but there is no longer any appeal for me to try to attend the zoo. With excellent reporting from sites such as iFanboy, any interesting news is reported as soon as it's announced. I agree the social aspect is a huge part of the reason many enjoy the Con, but for me, the hassle-to-benefit ratio is just not worth it.  I've accepted that I probably will never attend SDCC,  and much to my surprise, I'm cool with that.
January 7, 2011 1:35 am @TechNoir:  No, you are not alone. There are still a few of us who enjoy JMS' body of writing overall, despite his share of difficulties in the industry over the past several years.
November 24, 2010 4:15 pm Great article!  I wonder, how would  Professor Xavier, Reed Richards, Janet Van Dyne, and Victor Von Doom rank? Their finanical resources are quite considerable too.
January 11, 2010 9:46 pm I'm disappointed by Parkman refusing to help, but on the other hand, he's scared for himself and his family.
January 11, 2010 9:22 pm It's just shocking and a little sad to see how far NBC has fallen in so short a time. Conor, do you think  the Comcast acquisition will help?  Comcast seems a better match than G.E. ever was.
January 11, 2010 9:19 pm @Conor I completely agree about Mohinder.
January 11, 2010 9:17 pm @zombox  That's a good point.  If it's renewed, next season should be the last.  As far as Parkman, he is one of my favorites on the show, but his character's potential was never fully realized.   The character (and the actor) has an Everyman quality I've always liked.
January 11, 2010 9:14 pm Man, HRG  is hitting low by mention their children.
January 11, 2010 9:10 pm iI wonder if this will be the last season for Heroes.
