February 2, 2011 7:54 pm And amid all this, Marvel launched their Chrome app today http://chrome.marvel.com/, which looks to have 1500+ titles.  Since much of my day is spet on my laptop, this is a welcome surprise.
August 30, 2010 1:10 am Another week with someone down on their knees ready to blow Kirkman.  Yawn.

I stopped watching when I realized the first season was winding up to be a ripoff of Watchmen.  And to tell you the truth, I thought it was cancelled two years ago.  Had no clue this was still on television.

May 12, 2010 11:45 pm Totally agree.  This was the title that got me back into reading comics after 10 years.  I still remember seeing the first trade at Borders and thinking "huh, spidey AND wolverine in the Avengers?  What the hell is going on?".  Now I am going to my LCS every wed like I used to years ago.  I can actually trace my re-interest in comics to the New Avengers, and while some of it was a bit dragging, this run Bendis did will go down as one of the all time greats.

When I was younger it was Fridays, then it moved to Thursdays for a short time., and it has been Wednesdays for years now.  Tuesdays will be weird for about 3 weeks, then it will be normal.

Personally, I liked Fridays the best.

March 23, 2010 11:56 pm They did the right thing in this, in that waiting so long to cast this movie, by the time this was announced the main reaction was "about time" not "he sucks".  Surprised they don't annouce the casting of more comic book movies like this.  He was probably on the radar the whole time, and while us fans were scared it was going to be Jim from the Office or the idiot from GI Joe, this is now coming across as a "OK, I can see him as Cap" moment.  Brilliant job by the marketing department.
March 3, 2010 10:18 pm This arc seemed a little drawn out, but what an ending!  And Doc Strange is no slouch.  Or should I say Doctor Soy.
February 24, 2010 10:19 pm @abirdseyeview,
I was wondering the same thing, he was out of continuity from 2 issues ago of NA, and yet this was still a top notch issue.

Bendis seems like he has a renewed love of writing again, he was mailing it in there for a year or so on this title, but this is such a fun read again.

Maybe Seige was pushed forward a month or two due to all the complaining about Dark Reign,  seems like it since all the tie - ins are a month or so behind?
February 3, 2010 9:40 pm I think this is the best single issue of anything Bendis has done in a long while.  If he can keep this up through the next 2 issues, it could be epic.

@throughthebrush -

You do know it is standard retail procedure to tear covers off of books, magazines, newpapers, etc when you return them, and just send the covers in while you recycle the remaining book (it saves the retailers on shipping and it is against the law to sell a book, magazine etc without the cover).  They are just asking the retailers to "return" the books, not destroy merchandise.  When you return a book, all you return is the cover.

Knowing that, it makes sense as a promotion,  a lot of these retailers got stuck with a ton of books they could not sell, and Marvel is just saying return them to us.  They are not saying destroy some DC merchandise and we will reward you.
