August 10, 2012 10:01 am Um, n tha-- uh, Allred? Monthly? She-Hulk? Medussa? Crap. Okay. I'll bite on the first trade.
July 20, 2012 10:45 am Oh, yeah, Underwater Welder is pretty good. Snagged one at a convention from Lemire. Makes me wish for more of UW and Sweet Tooth than his mainstream work.
July 20, 2012 10:44 am Is it me or does the "big" mainstream announcements seem to be outside of CCI? Wouldn't blame Marvel, DC, Image, etc. not wanting to share their next big thing with everybody else's big things...(that wrote kinda dirty). Never been to CCI. Probably never will. That said, I am slightly jealous Ron snagged the new L&R Rocket while I'm waiting for it's arrival by conventional means. Damn, and a pun.
July 18, 2012 2:06 pm Oh, wow, I haven't read those in years. I think I held onto all three series, too.
July 18, 2012 1:59 pm What makes the Punisher truly interesting is what motivates him to continue killing after his family's killer(s) met their fate through his revenge. This piece touched on that.
July 11, 2012 2:51 pm Woo-hoo! No more Uncanny X-men! Sorry. I've been enjoying the title, but the thought of my planned exit from Avengers and New Avengers AND a double-shipping book along with cutting some dull DC titles, I have a bit more freedom to pick other non-cape titles I'm interested in reading.
July 9, 2012 11:05 am I'd buy that!
July 9, 2012 11:03 am I'm souring on the DC relaunch as a whole and can't see myself purchasing many DCU books much longer -- it's mostly ties to the decompression. Yeah, Winnick was on for a whole year... but, really, it was only two stories. A 5-issue collection can consist of a three-parter and a two-parter, or a two-parter or three one-and-dones, or.....sigh. Anyway. I love a lot of Nocenti's Marvel work and I've enjoyed the few-and-far between published DC work. I think the deciding factor will be the artist.
July 5, 2012 11:01 am I like this book. I don't know why. It's crazy, convoluted and, at times, brillant. I've been reading it since the first issue came out waaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in the Image heyday. Of all the original Image books, Savage Dragon is the one I cannot kick the habit. Fun stuff and Erik Larsen seems to have his storytelling feet planted back on the ground.
July 5, 2012 10:43 am Just when I'm ready to cut this book, an awesome issue pops up (but this wasn't one) keeping me back on. It just seems like since issue 7, this title has been spinning its wheels waiting for Swamp Thing to get to a point for their crossover. Or, it could be me being impatient wanting to get the crossover out of the way.
