April 1, 2011 4:18 pm But the fortunate thing is they eventually get excited about comics too. When my son was two I just about gave up reading comics. Now he enjoys the weekly trip to my LCS although I still get fewer books than I used to
January 12, 2011 2:17 pm @ed209AF I think it is time to find a new LCS if that is what yours is like. I know the one I go to makes an effort to make there store family friendly and most times I go there I see many parents with there kids.
January 12, 2011 12:03 pm Every Wednesday I take my 2 1/2 year old daughter and my 4 year old son and they each get to buy a book. My daughter loves the Disney stuff well my son likes the all ages superhero stuff. We then go home and I read to them there comic books. As a parent I am beyond frusturated that there seems to be such little support for all ages books.
yeah I know it is jst a normal day but I don't know whether celebrating Chris Columbus is a good idea. I know it isn't really a big deal but he isn't someone that a nation should really celebrate.
November 21, 2008 11:16 am Thanksgiving my least favourite holiday as well. My wife and I are vegans and raising our kids as such is difficult when we are expected to attend the family celebration of animal eating. I think it is definately one of the worse holidays maybe Columbus day could be a little worse but my family always dreads this day.
