Disappointing. Not much else to say about it, but I’ll try. After hearing and reading interviews with Jeff Smith, I…

the loss of Fraction i can deal with. never cared for him. but Brubaker and Aja. ouch. that hurts. but i will stay with it becouse i like me the Kung-fu action.

@ ohcaroline, there is no room for levelheaded objectivity in comics. only rushing to rash, baseless, judgement. (nice B-Ball allegory. way to drop some of the B-ball Ka-nowledge.)

March 27, 2008 12:08 am i'm one of those parent's that look for stuff to read with thier kid's. i found Clockwork Girl when it first came out , saw the price, and bought it, sight unseen. it's a great little book with the three main ingredients for a good book, story-4 (out of 5), art-4 and price-5. more child aimed books should take notice.
March 18, 2008 1:40 am its about time. is this way late or is it me? awesome book though.
March 12, 2008 11:06 pm  @ Hickman. Yes, but if it all reeds left to right i don't think my dislexia could handle it. and i'm not bagging manga, but it all looks the same to me. to small. we need someone with the visual stylings and know-how to kick that pig. besides, if its a good story, people wont care if its about soccer. if you do however only make it for the forien market, give us a heads-up. i'm in.

as far as photo referance is concerned, i don't have a problem. i draw (not profesionaly) and i use photo reference all the time. not traceing, referencing. panel swiping is different but cut the dude some slack. it's one issue, lets not forget the rest of his brilliant works over one issue. be dissapointed, don't slander the guy unless he makes it a habit, and move on.

@ mr. Hickman. have you ever concidered doing a sports comic. like say about...um... soccer. soccer (or futball) and basketball would make for dinamic visuals in comic form and givin a good story, i think would make a kick (pun intended) ass comic. maybe a limited seires based on "The new slave trade." just throwing that out there. i'm a resent convert to your work (thanks to this column) and love it. keep up the good work.

March 5, 2008 12:02 am i think i had less interest in SIP tha Conor, but i'm looking forward to this. terry moore's art is so nice.
