February 17, 2011 5:26 pm Congrats to everyone on some well deserved recognition!
February 10, 2011 12:33 pm @Wood - Has anything been confirmed/denied about the application of this model to something like DCBS (LCS with internet site), where they could offer the issues on their website? That way you could get some benefit of supporting the LCS, but not have to actually physically go to the store?

Loved the Nextwave choice. Listening to this totally makes me want to reread it soon.

Oh and regarding Boom-Boom, she showed up in X-Force (Kyle & Yost run) as a side character during the Leper Queen arc. She actually played a major role in that arc, but I won't spoil how exactly.

Josh, that sounds like the theater scene in Inglorious Basterds. Maybe an upstart podcast was getting ready to take out all the competition! :)

RE the mic: Yeah, I was wondering why you sounded so clear compared to the others. I just presumed it was b/c you all were recording it.

I look forward to hearing the audio from this panel every year. Thanks for taking the time to put on and record another! Wish the panel could have gone on for a longer time, sounded like they were trying to shuffle everyone out.

I totally love flipping through Previews. I order through DCBS, so it's a needed tool to see what I would want to pre-order (and is only $1). For me, it's about seeing what's going on in all those other comics I don't read. And w/o Previews, I wouldn't know about a lot of the Image/IDW/Dark Horse comics or trades that I've ordered b/c it sounded interesting. The insight into how this cyclical process hurts certain titles was interesting to learn, but I'm personally not that outraged by it and will happily continue using Previews and pre-ordering.

Spoiler-wise, I generally don't mind being spoiled by Previews, usually most of the real spoilery stuff is omitted anyways. My favorite non-spoiler solicits are for Godland (Image), which just goes all out with hyperbole hype talk and are fun to read.

May 20, 2010 2:33 pm Holy smokes, I can't believe how evenly all of those DP books sold. I really was expecting a poor MRR (see I learned something!) on the newer series.
April 22, 2010 2:13 pm Jason - AWESOME breakdown. I still have yet to go to a con and this was definitely helpful to make sure that I'm not "That Guy" who has no idea about protocol.
April 19, 2010 12:34 pm Maybe I'm in the minority, but I've generally enjoyed the slow reveals. Sure I don't care about all of the reveals (ex: Avengers Academy), but I enjoy reading all of the wild speculations and reactions to the reveals. I figure if I get sick of it, I don't have to click on the article or image. Granted, Jimski is obligated to keep in the know on most of this stuff, so I guess that's a different issue.
