                     I would imagine that Kollins change in art style has to do with Manapuls work on the Flash.  I can also imagine DC is telling more artists to stick with this style since it pretty much cuts out the inker. Saving them time and money by going straight to color.  I mean even Jerry Ordway did this inkwash style in that Superman/Batman issue. 

I used to love Kollins work but this new stuff is really hard to get used to. 

February 4, 2011 9:21 pm Is it just me or does anyone else think that this is a Titans story.  You never know with Johns he made Mera and Ray Palmer two very important characters in Blackest Night.  I think Johns is crazy enought to do it.!!!

January 25, 2011 2:40 am I see why Johhny is the one that needed to go, he was pointless.  A character like him is fun and amusing from time to time, but when did he ever do anything memorable as a hero or character.  I agree with Mr. Romo, I would have loved to see Reed deal with loss on such a level.  The only thing now is that Reed has to deal with his wife, that has little faith in him as a husband as it is, who just lost her brother. Hell even Ben just lost one of the only people that treated him like a man and not a monster.  Poor Sue just lost her brother, that cant be easy on anyone.

His death will affect the team as a whole more than any of the other character would have. 

I loved Johhny, I'm sad to see him go, but it was his time. Hopefully when i read the issue it will be a death worth remembering.

Ron, great review of a great book. I really hope that this continues even after Brightest day is over. I like the sound of JLI written by Winick and pencilled by Lopresti. 

 

My pick was Superman Secret Origins. Johns and Frank have done a fantastic job on retelling the way superman is.  I think it was Josh that said that this is going to be the perfect gift in trade. I couldnt agree more.

I feel that this has been one of the better issues of the series. I feel that the way they have it set up though is whats killing the book for me.  I get that they have to tell the story of like 10 different characters and Johns and Tomasi are the people to do that, I just dont think its 52 quality.  I hope that since this has been the best issue by far it keeps a steady pace.
