Conor, Chris, Paul and Ryan,

Will she speak in prolonged metaphor like her Smallville dialogue?

"Clark, you're up to your neck in water and I can't row a lifeboat in to save you in this rainstorm because the tidal wave is coming and there's no way I can be swept down that whirlpool..."

U2 cover band? I resemble that remark! No really. I do.

I play drums in a U2 tribute band, and I've been a lifelong fan. I also read comics. (And I play a doctor on TV?) And man... I just wish I could rub my eyes and make all this go away. I hope I'm wrong, but I think this might be the Sgt Pepper of U2's career.

And  by Sgt Pepper, I mean the movie from the 70's. Starring Peter Frampton and The Bee Gees. Yeah. That.

July 29, 2010 1:16 pm I'm with Conor on this one. The designs are awful and look like a children's fashion line. The Star Wars Adidas Originals are much cooler because the SW design elements work with the shoe in a more subtle way. And I'm sorry but how do you do co-branded SHOES and not feature THE FLASH? Hello?
July 9, 2010 2:46 pm Damn! Even your synopsis had me on the edge of my seat. Sounds like a great arc!

Speaking as an Art Director that works in media and advertising, this looks to me like a rushed job just to get something out the door for the licensing trade magazines. It doesn't look nearly developed enough for an official movie marketing campaign. It strikes me as temporarly placeholder.

In other words, all will be well.

This could be one of my favorite single episodes ever.

Those were some of the most thrilling effects I've ever seen on this show and completely complimented the story. And GREAT use of Tess in this episode. I didn't see her doublecross coming at all in that opening sequence and I actually felt genuine fear and sympathy for her in the closing scene. The fight scenes were fantastic, and moved the plot forward. The danger and violence seemed legitimately threatening. You really got the sense that these people would not hesitate to put a bullet in Chole's brain. And seeing J'onn cut loose with his powers was a total "jump up and down on the sofa" moment. And Green Arrow escaping the armoured car and sliding down the road on the metal door could've been lifted straight out of a comic book.

This show has never, ever, been better than it is right now. I agree the Zod stuff is kindof a mess, but I'll take it over "Lana is possessed by a witch" anyday.
