April 16, 2010 12:43 pm I don't read the book, but the cover to Punisher Max this week was just awesome. Solicit said the cover was by "David Johnson" which I can only assume is the one and only Dave Johnson, which would explain why the cover is so good. Or maybe there's a guy named David Johnson who also does comic book covers. But that would be weird.
March 31, 2010 6:37 pm I wasn't sure if anyone could wrap up a 5 year story without dissappointment, but Johns did and proved once again that he is the best pure story-teller in comics today. And the really remarkable thing is, I can't wait for Brightest Day.
March 27, 2010 8:21 pm If Giordano had done nothing but inks his entire career, it would still be a sad day for the comics industry. But for what he did for DC Comics as a whole, he has to go down as one of the most brilliant executives in comics history. RIP Dick.
February 8, 2010 11:53 am Whatever kind of Red Skull is in the movie, I want Christoph Waltz to play him.
January 20, 2010 10:49 pm Frank Darabont is one of my favorite directors ever, Walking Dead is one of the best comics ever, and AMC is currently one of the best networks on TV. This has the potential for being really, really, REALLY good.

It sucks that the book got canceled so soon, but if it's really not selling, what else is the publisher supposed to do? All you can really do is be thankful we have TPBs now, so that a book like this has even a shot at second life (if they decide to put a trade out that is).

The real travesty in this whole situation is that if Marvel had slapped a Dark Reign or Siege banner on these issues, they would've probably sold at least twice as well (Note: I don't have the sales figures in front of me, so that's a number pulled straight from my ass).

And on a extremely tangential note, Craig Ferguson, the funniest man currently on late night TV (and maybe all TV), should be hosting The Tonight Show. #teamferguson, who's with me?

@HailScott - Similar dilemma When Superman gave up his powers in Superman II in the middle of the arctic, how the hell did he get home? The answer: sometimes you just gotta have selective memory and choose to not care.

Also, I'm especially aggravated that my store was sold out. I was looking forward to this.

September 15, 2009 1:10 am Read the HC. Very good read. Probably would've gotten a lot more recognition if Asterios Polyp and The Hunter hadn't come out right afterwards.
