This book is just a fantastic pulpy romp. The art is absolutely spectacular, and I had never read an Arcadia…

I think that the idea that Warren Ellis phones in all of his superhero work has become viral and is…

This is the lightest week in recent memory for me. Everything coming to me is aces, and I'm excited to be able to have fun without slogging through stuff.

BQ: Liver, of course.

June 15, 2010 12:16 pm @glunders I'm pretty close to agreeing with you. Really focused Morrison writing and an array of brilliant artists at the top of their games. I think this thing existing means that we won't get an absolute, so I'm gonna pick this up. I already own the trades, but I would love to have this in one volume.
June 15, 2010 12:11 pm I give no fucks about this story, but I just finished a re-read of Elecktra Assassin  and that story doesn't matter, the art is beautiful. So I'm on this train.
June 15, 2010 12:08 pm Jenny's cover is magnificent.
June 10, 2010 7:55 pm I absolutely get why this book is for some people, but it is, I can say now categorically, not for me. I find myself wanting to like Hickman more than actually liking him about half of the time, then being knocked over by him the other half. I'll file this one under Secret Warriors unfortunately, cause I was hoping to file it under Fantastic Four.
June 10, 2010 7:31 pm Man, I don't know why there's so much animosity toward Fraction on this book, but then I'm a creator guy, not a character guy, and I love Fraction to pieces from way back. That said, I'm reading this whole crossover, and it may be my favorite multi-book crossover I've ever read. I was only buying Uncanny at the start of this, but I think I'll be picking up some of the other books after this is done.
June 3, 2010 12:06 pm I have to compromise on the movies thing. I love Curt Swan, I love Christopher Reeve. I have separate my love for each of those things and understand them as basically unrelated.
June 2, 2010 4:28 pm I am predicting this as my pick of the week.
June 1, 2010 6:44 pm So... I guess I'm the only one who actually really liked the first issue?
May 30, 2010 1:02 pm I love the Emma Hate because she's my very favorite character in comics, however often mishandled. That being said, I skipped this. It looked horrible and the Emma solo series that tried the same story was just, just awful.
