June 30, 2012 5:22 am Daniel's a great artist, but an awful writer. I was surprised DC even put him on writing duties for the relaunch, as he wasn't getting glowing reviews for his work on Batman. Would love Nguyen back on art - huge fan of his work and am lucky enough to have a commission by him. As for writer - Rucka would be awesome, but can't see it happening. Hope it's someone original.
June 26, 2012 4:19 am Wolverine and the X-Men, American Vampire, Aquaman and Batman INC are the ones I am particularly looking forward to. However, I get my stash every fortnight and it's delivery week, so they might be relegated until i've got through last week's pile! BQ: School reports - 13 to go!
June 26, 2012 4:08 am Can't wait for this arc. The last two issues were not up to the usual high standards of this title and I'm looking forward to a return to form with Rafa back.
May 30, 2012 9:40 am Can't wait for this Annual. Recently watched 'Heart of Ice' after picking it up on iTunes and i'd forgotten how good it was. Freeze, like any villain really, can be got very wrong, and I look forward to seeing what Scott and James do with the character.
May 22, 2012 9:05 am Loved the first couple of issues of Volume 1. The rest was quite confusing on a first read, but then I enjoyed them more and more when I gave them another look. I also found annotations that some people have done on Morrison's run to be quite interesting, and definitely help clear up the edges. Really looking forward to the art in this. The preview page in recent comics looks brilliant, and I love how Burnham has always shown Damian as a kid, as Quitely did at the start of Batman and Robin.
May 15, 2012 8:27 am Thanks for all of the suggestions guys. I'll pick up the first couple of trades of each when I next go to my LCS. @edward - It's always great to have a new title to sink your teeth into. How many books do you wish you could read again for the first time?!
May 14, 2012 6:15 pm This has been a year where I've spread my wings in terms of books I've pulled, and have been more ruthless with dropping titles. Before I used to wait until the end of an arc, but now i'm out after two dud issues. As for the changes - finally caught up on chew and have started on the monthlies, and have found myself loving The Amazing Spider-man after years of telling myself that I hated the character. Might have something to do with the fact that I was too tubby to fit into my suit one Christmas in the late 80s and chose to blame Spidey rather than myself.... Tormented childhood. Can't go wrong with Batman and still like Wonder Woman, but wonder how long Snyder can keep delivering the goods. He's done it with 30+ issues if American Vampire (incl. Mini-series), so hope we are still talking about Batman next year, and the same applies to Darededevil.
May 14, 2012 4:12 pm Huge week for me and now i'm having to be ruthless with the books that i'm unsure about. If I hear good things about them, I can always pick them up later! Sage, Avengers Vs X-Men and Wonder Woman are the ones i'm looking forward to the most. Just wondering whether anyone else's copy of Steed and Mrs Peel #4 was blurry?
May 14, 2012 3:59 pm Love this title and can't wait to read it when my stash gets delivered on Thursday. I'm fairly new to comics, so will have to dig into more BKV. Any suggestions?
May 8, 2012 10:32 am This has been a great title so far. Easily one of the best Bat-books, although not convinced by Gleason's art. Some panels seem awkward to me. Just re-read issue 8. Was the bug at the end of any significance. My eyes were drawn to it, but i couldn't remember if it had significance from earlier in the arc.
