May 15, 2012 9:53 am I never read any previous Dial Hero, but picked up the first issue of Dial H by Mieville and I can tell you it's great. Just be warned it really belongs in The Dark line of DC with its zany concepts and moody setup, same as others in the line it really feels like a Vertigo book.
April 30, 2012 1:16 pm Excited for the new series being launched this week, specially XO Manowar, and also Dial H and Earth 2. Seems like DC is still getting most of my business, I'm eager to keep up with Animal Man, Swamp Think and look forward to see what Milligan can do with Stormwatch. Dropped Action Comics tho, Morrison or not I just can't get myself to care for a Superman comic... Over at Marvel its Daredevil, AoA and AvX - which I hope will actually bring more story into it soon. Where's Rachel Grey in all this for crying out loud!
April 24, 2012 10:37 am I really dont understand where you are going with your comment here. There are many other books with twice or more pulls than this one this week that have zero comments on them, does that mean that people are hiding behind rocks talking about them in secret? Unlikely right? I'd say it probably means that most users here just like to keep track of their weekly pull and dont have much time and/or interest than posting stuff online; and lets not overlook the fact that its the comics from the big two that get the most attention with posts on an average rate of around of one post per 10 pulls. But if you insist, I can say that Dark Times is consistently one of the better Star Wars semi ongoing books published in the least few years and this latest mini is no exception, and I'm looking forward to the end of the arc.
April 16, 2012 6:31 pm Appalling that nowadays Marvel comics cost almost 100% more than they did less than a decade ago.
March 26, 2012 6:37 pm The iFanboy comics shipping and pull lists are a great way to keep track of the stuff I get week in and week out; congrats for providing the service for free to registered users. And on a less positive note I'm sick and tired of Marvel's double shipping policies, makes it so hard to keep track of the number of books that fit into a budget... On the other side of the coin, I am skipping Justice League Dark; no interested in a I Vampire crossover and prefer to get back when Lemire takes over Ok so, this week I'm getting ALL-STAR WESTERN #7 AVENGERS VS. X-MEN #0 (Sure hope the event wont be overextended) B.P.R.D.: HELL ON EARTH – THE PICKENS COUNTY HORROR #1 DAREDEVIL #10 FLASH GORDON: ZEITGEIST #4 SECRET AVENGERS #24 UNCANNY X-FORCE #23
March 20, 2012 11:23 am I really agree, the Moebius influenced style in the art makes the eerie and alien future earth in Prophet gives just the right look and feel to tell this kind of story. Because of this book I now want to read for the first time the classic works of that French genius.
March 7, 2012 12:42 pm I find that the Star Wars expanded universe stories that I enjoy the most are the ones that happen post or filling gaps of the OT. My recommendations would be Thrawn Trilogy : Heir to the Empire, Dark Force Rising and The Last Command Dark Empire Trilogy Crimson Empire Trilogy Shadows of the Empire Pretty much everything with Boba Fett - but not with Jango
February 17, 2012 6:22 pm The Otherworld arc is not bad story wise, the main problem for me is a very sub par artwork done on it. Wish that they had hired someone with a sense of proportion. And yet, Betsy and Fantomex are really having a tough time of it and it seems to be going to get worse before it gets better... and I'd expect nothing less from this book.
February 14, 2012 4:54 pm On my pull: B.P.R.D.: HELL ON EARTH – THE LONG DEATH #1 BATMAN #6 DAREDEVIL #9 FLASH GORDON ZEITGEIST #3 UNCANNY X-MEN #7 WINTER SOLDIER #2 WOLVERINE #301 WONDER WOMAN #6 The best solo series are coming out almost all at once. And for those who are wondering Flash Gordon is quite a good read, specially if you are a fan of the traditional yet updated story retelling take like me. Only Prophet is missing to make this the ultimate solo week, can't believe I'm so excited about an Extreme book, which is why I will try if I can find a copy: GLORY #23
February 7, 2012 4:22 pm My wallet is aching at such a heavy week! Batwoman, Conan, Demon Knights, Elric, Frankenstein, Next Men, Secret Avengers, Iron Eclipse, Crimson Empire, Warlord of Mars, Alpha and Omega...
