You know, I appreciate that DC is trying to follow-up on Final Crisis in some high profile fashion after launching…

October 31, 2012 11:03 am This is absolutely one of my favorite superhero comics ever, but that's not necessarily a popular opinion (at all). It's very, very much unlike COIE, Identity Crisis, and Infinite Crisis, though if you liked 52, you may appreciate the appearances of The Question and Batwoman here. Frankly, this is *the* definitive version of the book: It has the previously uncollected 3D version of Superman Beyond and all of the other Grant Morrison-written tie-ins, including the Batman two-parter which elucidates what happens to the character between his appearances in FC. The art is, for the most part, gorgeous and will look fantastic in the oversized format, but there are some pages of less-than-amazing fill-ins. I haven't read the seven new story pages, of course, but it goes without saying that you won't get those elsewhere. I'd say if $100 isn't an insurmountable cost to you and you have a strong interest in the creators and story, go for it. If you're just looking for a follow-up to other Crisis stories, though, you might be better off risking less on the TPB.
October 2, 2012 7:59 am The first chapter of the crossover the book has been building to for the last year is going to be your last issue?

August 8, 2012 9:48 pm This was wonderful. A great palate cleanser after Night of the Owls, too.
July 11, 2012 7:00 pm Heh. I also kept thinking "How fast must the tiny jets in the Talon's suit be propelling him?!" Silly scene.
July 11, 2012 6:37 pm I'm obviously in the minority, but I thought the beginning of this story was much, much stronger than the end. I loved the first several issues -- the "Court" stuff -- but I just don't think the big, epic action stuff is quite in Snyder's wheelhouse. Even in a comic about evil frozen owl ninjas, that climactic scene with the airplane in this issue was just too much for me to swallow. Capullo's been consistently great, though.

June 11, 2012 4:02 pm Liked the first arc well enough, but last issue was so memorably awful that I might drop if this isn't good. Hoping for the best, though, and intrigued by the premise.
