August 15, 2013 8:58 am I'm bummed. I really love both titles. I wish they put another writer on the Inhumans book. And with Allred leaving after #16 I can't see how can FF carry on. On the other hand, I'd be totally happy with a long Kesel/Bagley run on Fantastic Four.
July 27, 2013 3:49 am There is also this: the vast majority of modern comics (which you can actually find in a comic shop) are rated T or T+. Our beloved comics of yesteryear have evolved to suit an older demographic. If you are a 7 years old kid today... well, comics are (mostly) not meant for you. I know there are all ages comics (and I buy them for my daughter) but they are generally confined in a small section in a corner even in the most illuminated of comics stores. A modern kid entering a comic shop will be greeted by a wall of shiny and inviting comics which, besides being too expensive, he's not supposed to read anyway.
July 24, 2013 12:24 pm I like Deodato (I even bought the oversized Dark Avengers HC) but I *love* Epting. Velvet is on my pull-list since its announcement.
July 23, 2013 5:57 am The only book still using the proper Captain America costume. I'm grateful to Remender & Romita for sticking with it. I am afraid it is going to change in the next arc. I really can't stand the Movie/Ultimate Universe inspired costume. When I see the classic one my mind equates CAP=Hero. When I see the new on my mind equates CAP=A##hole.
July 18, 2013 7:30 am @livinglegend629@gmail.com Then you'll love this ;-) X-Men: Battle of the Atom (September/October 2013) Part 1: X-Men Battle of the Atom #1 Part 2: All-New X-Men #16 Part 3: X-Men #5 Part 4: Uncanny X-Men #12 Part 5: Wolverine & The X-Men #36 Part 6: All-New X-Men #17 Part 7: X-Men # 6 Part 8: Uncanny X-Men #13 Part 9: Wolverine & The X-Men #37 Part 10: X-Men: Battle of The Atom #2 I don't usually like crossovers but luckily (?) I'm already reading them all. They are still robbing me with the bookend mini though :-)
July 18, 2013 4:42 am [5. Animal Man] Animals are amazing creatures, they have unbelievable capabilities. Yet we take them for granted. Being able to mimic the powers of any animal would be beyond cool. [4. Big Barda] Big, strong, protective: my kind of woman. And since I like to play games with a female character (female Shepard anyone?) this is a natural choice for me. [3. Kamandi] Young, resourceful, determined, making his way in an amazing new world. Adventure in its purest form. [2. Orion] As strong as Superman but angry as f#@ck. Superman represents an ideal. Orion is one of us. [1. Swamp Thing] Apparently I have a thing for ... things that live in a swamp. Seems peaceful.
July 15, 2013 3:21 pm "Marvelman will finally return, as ROM" made me smile :-)
July 11, 2013 5:56 pm After reading this and the October Marvel solicitations I realized that I must find the courage to drop all Marvel books and switch to Digital Unlimited. I still like the stuff but it's time to stop wasting my time in advance-ordering, pull-list juggling exercises and overspending guilt trips. I'll just keep a few 2.99 books I love.
July 5, 2013 4:12 pm Amazing, amazing gallery. I still can't get used to the movie costume though (sorry Marquez). Just can't.
July 1, 2013 4:08 pm The art of this book on a 16:9 24" monitor is simply breathtaking.
