November 1, 2012 12:58 pm Sage by BKV and Fiona Staples. This book is mind blowing every single month, and I have loaned it out countless times to non comic readers, and they can't wait for each new issue!
October 17, 2012 9:52 pm I really, really enjoyed this! The main story having strong female characters kicking ass in a kingdom of swords and sorcery--it's refreshing to see DC pumping out something like this. So fun!
July 17, 2012 2:36 pm This makes me want a Showtime/HBO series about the street level heroes. Punisher, Daredevil, and all of the guys that really work in the dark streets of New York. I know that it will probably never happen because of money and licensing, but man, I would love that. Matt Murdock and Frank Castle yelling at each other in the middle of the night in Hell's Kitchen and even using swears? An enticing thought.
March 18, 2012 2:58 pm I'd say maybe give them a couple of arcs to have fun with the Dark Avengers before some event happens to bring back the Thunderbolts.
March 18, 2012 2:54 pm Right! I dropped them both around the same time, so I got them mixed up. My mistake. Nonetheless, I'm really interested to see what Wood brings to the table with both of these books. I've loved his non-superhero work, and I'm loving Alpha and Omega right now, so I'm hoping that it will be excellent as well. Thanks for the catch, Conor!
March 18, 2012 2:45 pm I dropped X-Men a long while ago, and I dropped Ultimate X-Men about 4 issues in, because I wasn't a fan of the direction that Hickman was going in, but Brian Wood writing both of these titles will have me picking them up again on Day 1.
January 6, 2012 2:08 am Absolutely fantastic panels! I loved the spread from Swamp Thing, but I wish you guys would have included the full page embrace with Alec and Abby - one of the most beautiful, emotional pages that I have seen in a while
December 26, 2011 8:37 pm I got "1001 Comics You Should Read Before You Die," 75 issues of Generation X from the 90s, and Batman boxers!
October 28, 2011 11:41 am That Scalped cover is absolutely incredible, but it's Jock, so that's obviously not a surprise. I also encourage everyone to check out the cover for Spider Island: Cloak and Dagger #3. Gorgeous.
September 7, 2011 11:53 pm I most definitely agree. I was very excited when this first started, but I have to drop after this issue. There are so many amazing books coming out right now that I can't afford a history lesson filler.
