April 19, 2013 3:11 am Are you guys really complaining that Disney Stores don't sell comics? Would you really go to a Disney Store just to but Marvel comics instead of your own local comic shop? Come on, people.
April 19, 2013 3:07 am There is no Marvel park coming. You're being put over. Furthermore, Imagineering isn't located in Orlando, so I highly doubt the designers of a Marvel attraction would be taking a five hour plane ride to buy comics at your store.
April 19, 2013 3:01 am As both a lifelong Disney fan and currently employee, I feel the need to clue you in on a few things. Authors typically write about what they know. You obviously know comics; you obviously don't know Disney, however. 1) There are many regulations in the Marvel contract between Disney and Universal preventing Disney from having Marvel in the parks. This is not the case on the west coast. 2) Disney's acquisition of Marvel was merely a very smart business decision that has proved lucrative for both parties involved. Just as Marvel fans did not want Disney to interfere with Marvel comics, the majority of Disney fans do not want Marvel to interfere with Disney, this includes an abundance of Marvel in the parks. 3) Disney is not just for children. You completely missed the point, as many jaded adults do. 4) Song Of The South is not racist. In fact, it was highly touted by many African American film critics who praised Walt for telling the right kind of story. In addition, James Baskett received an honorary Academy Award at a time when Oscars were not given to African Americans, making him the first black man to ever receive one.
January 5, 2013 1:31 am Scott Lobdell is writing Superman far better than the garbage Grant Morrison is delivering.
January 5, 2013 1:27 am I find it odd that people harp on DC so much when Marvel is not doing anything any better. I love each of the big two equally, but Marvel is doing the same things that people are whining about DC doing. Unnecessary plot twists, money-grabbing crossovers and events, and an overwhelming amount of noncreative books (how many X-Men books do we need?). Following up your negative rant on DC, you proceed to list the negativity of the community as one of the worst things in comics. Way to contribute to your own gripe, Ron.
January 20, 2012 3:42 am Did anyone else notice that the single issues in one of the photos has pre-New 52 issue numbers? Perhaps DC's initial plans were not to reboot the numbers?
December 9, 2011 8:40 pm Conor you're a total douchebag for saying that St. Louis has no chance of making it to the World Series again anytime soon.nin case you hadn't notice, half the Cardinals team are all-stars. The Pujols helped them get to the post season, he had little to do with them winning a championship. Enjoy paying through the nose to see an amazing player for the next five years, and a fat man with a walker, shanking balls into foul territory for the next five - that you're still paying an astronomical amount of money for. Yeah, real smart business decision for a few good years. Make no mistake, Pujols doesn't give a crap about Anaheim, it's all about the money.
December 2, 2011 1:51 am I'd like to pose a seperate to you, Mike. You say you've started writing this as you "begin the always fun process of rebuilding your Mac;" seemingly meaning that this has happened a few times prior to this post. What in the world are you doing to that computer?! In my 15 years of using Macs (both new and old), I have never once had to rebuild one.
November 3, 2011 4:20 am I picked this up today because everyone was raving about it at the comic shop. I must say I have no idea why people are so excited. This book is complete garbage being passed off as thought provoking art (and I'm not speaking of the perversion or vulgarity of it). Total waste of $4.00.
