Name: Matthew Kaczynski

Bio: I've been reading since I was 12, started with Spawn when I traded some X-men cards for a stack of comics.  I would consider myself a Marvel guy, but I love to dip into mature books and am a big fan of the recent push towards pulp crime stories.  Current and long time favorites include Daredevil, Amazing Spiderman, any Brubaker, any Joe Kelly, Punisher, Scalped, Y the Last Man, and Jonah Hex.Professionally, I'm a Marine jet pilot stationed in Whidbey Island, WA.  I'm originally from Michigan and went to school at the University of Michigan.  Go Blue!

October 21, 2010 1:16 am It's a great story from Luthor's point of view.  He actually makes a very good case as to why we should hate superman.  Had me going, plus the art is awesome.
October 20, 2010 5:07 pm Did they have to make the D's that stupid looking font?  It looks dated now and will look even worse when we look back on it...
October 20, 2010 5:03 pm I get it, you don't like the books to be late.  Get over it, it's a fact of the comic book industry.
October 20, 2010 5:02 pm I haven't read the original Astro Boy but I have read Pluto.  Pluto is definately an adult themed book that involves politics, racisim, and religion whereas Astro Boy was sold as a children's movie.  Pluto would work better as an Avatar-type movie that can entertain but have underlying themes.
October 15, 2010 10:11 am At first, I HATED Morrison's take on Batman.  After rereading it all in one big chunk (because I didn't understand what happened the first time) I fell in love with it.  He's a writter with huge ideas that don't work as well as single issues as they do overarching themes and plots.
October 13, 2010 1:12 am I am really excited about having the Black Panther take over for a while.  I think it's a good think to get some perspective on where things are going, hope Diggle has a good plan.  If not, there will be another reboot in a couple of years anyway.
October 7, 2010 6:49 pm Bravo DC! that means I'll keep buying your books in issues... As for Marvel, I've been reading more and more of their titles in trade/hardcover.
October 5, 2010 10:50 am I loved Superman Returns, am I alone in this?  I find the old ones are great in their campiness but ultimately a product of their time.
October 5, 2010 1:23 am I'm loving this series.  I think a lot of people were quick to judge it, but the art is amazing and the story is a lot of fun.  Try it out or give it another shot, well worth $2.99.
